Both knitting training sessions in Strumica are now complete – 20 women, including those from vulnerable groups, have gained skills to pursue self-employment through craftsmanship.

Strumica | June 24 – August 1, 2025
With guidance from Ivana Angova, 20 women — including participants from vulnerable groups — completed our second knitting training, creating handmade items with love and purpose as a step toward self-employment and sustainable empowerment.
🧶 The second knitting training with 10 women, including participants from vulnerable groups, was completed.
👩🏫 Under the leadership of Ivana Angova, a total of 20 women mastered the basics of knitting and are taking steps towards self-employment.
🧤 Hats, scarves, bags, and blankets – knitted with love and a vision for a better future.

👩🎓 Ten women, including participants from vulnerable groups, successfully completed the training “With Knitting to Your Own Business”, mastering traditional skills as a step toward self-employment and economic independence — while a new group of 10 women continues the journey with the same enthusiasm and motivation.
The trainings "With knitting to your own business", in which 10 women from Strumica and the surrounding area participated - among them women from vulnerable categories, ended with great enthusiasm and interest.
By mastering knitting techniques, they learned how a traditional craft can be a path to self-employment and economic independence.
These activities are part of our mission to empower women through craftsmanship, innovation and sustainability.
A new training is currently underway with another group of 10 women from the region. The interest and motivation of the participants are the driving force of this process!
