🔹 Second Panel: Focused on technology as a driving force—exploring 3D design, virtual prototyping, and artificial intelligence as the future of fashion.
🎤 In his address, H.E. Mr. Gregor Presker, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia, emphasized the importance of:

DMWC Workshop Marathon: “Weave, Sew, Embroider & Crochet

The DMWC Workshop Marathon was held successfully, filled with joy and smiles —an event where project activities related to Macedonian traditional crafts and cultural heritage were presented to the wider public.
Passersby had the opportunity to actively participate in the various creative corners and try out their own handcraft skills
The event was honored by the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia, Mr. Gregor Presker, Slovenian Embassy Skopje, who became acquainted with the weaving technique under the mentorship of Damjan Ristovski.
At the same time, his wife, Elvira Zlatic Presker, chose the sewing machine, working under the guidance of Katerina Tosheva and Andrijana Pavlovski.
The crochet corner, mentored by Olga Seviljon (Matrjoshka Toys), sparked special interest among the youngest visitors, while mentor Irina Tosheva had the opportunity to present and pass on the secrets of Macedonian embroidery
Representatives of the People’s Republic of China expressed particular interest and a strong desire to learn Macedonian embroidery, further highlighting the intercultural character of the event.
In a relaxed, creative, and hands-on atmosphere, traditional Macedonian crafts and the values of cultural heritage were successfully showcased, sending a strong message about their preservation and transmission to future generations

DMWC Bazaar “In the Rhythm of Macedonian Traditional Crafts and Creations”,

On the eve of the New Year and Christmas holidays 🎄✨, the DMWC Bazaar dedicated to Macedonian traditional crafts and contemporary creations was successfully held.
✨🧵🧶🪡 Visitors enjoyed a rich selection of unique, handmade products, created with great care and creativity.
🌸 A special value to the event was brought by the women participants from the project “Empowering Women’s Entrepreneurship through Crafts and Sustainability,”. Through their dedication, skills, and talent in knitting, embroidery, sewing, and weaving 🧵🪡🧶, they demonstrated the strength of women’s entrepreneurship 💪👩🎨 and the importance of sustainable practices 🌱.
💫 Our sincere gratitude goes to all artisans, participants, partners, and visitors who were part of this inspiring story 🤝.

DMWC Workshop Marathon: WEAVE · SEW · EMBROIDER · CROCHET
🧶🪡🧵 The DMWC Workshop Marathon was a creative public event, unique in its concept and content, dedicated to sustainable fashion, traditional craftsmanship, and the preservation of Macedonian heritage
Held in an open public space, the event invited Macedonian citizens, passers-by, families, and especially children to take part with great curiosity and enthusiasm. Participants had the opportunity to experience and practice traditional Macedonian crafts firsthand—weaving on a loom, recycling old garments and reusing them in creative ways, as well as embroidering worn clothing to provide innovative design solutions for holes, stains, or fabric imperfections that cannot be removed through conventional methods.
👧🧒 Crocheting New Year decorations sparked particular interest among children, who joyfully created their first handmade items while learning about patience, creativity, and the value of craftsmanship.
👗 The garments brought by participants were not discarded; instead, they were preserved and transformed, given a new life through creativity, knowledge, and respect for tradition. The event conveyed a strong message about responsible use of resources, waste reduction, and the importance of circular fashion practices.
💚 The Workshop Marathon was organized with love for the planet, fashion, and the community, emphasizing that traditional crafts are not only a legacy of the past, but also a vital part of a sustainable future.


Fashion Show "In the Rhythm of Macedonian Crafts and Creations" Showcases the Fusion of Tradition and Innovation
As part of Fashion Weekend Skopje, the spectacular fashion show "In the Rhythm of Macedonian Crafts and Creations" celebrated the rich tapestry of Macedonian tradition, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage. This remarkable event highlighted the creative journey of 60 talented women and girls from Bitola, Skopje, Kumanovo, and Strumica, who showcased their handmade designs, blending timeless techniques with contemporary aesthetics.
Guided by the mentorship of renowned fashion designer Irina Tosheva and supported by local experts, the participants honed their skills in sewing, knitting, embroidery, and weaving. Their stunning creations reflect not only their technical expertise but also the vibrant spirit of Macedonian folklore.
Adding prestige to the event, the models—prominent figures from the diplomatic, cultural, and social spheres of Macedonia—graced the runway, bringing these unique pieces to life. The show stood as a powerful tribute to the importance of preserving traditional crafts while empowering women to innovate and excel in the modern fashion industry.
This harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary design left an indelible mark on the audience, reinforcing the value of cultural heritage in shaping a sustainable and creative future.
